Marketplace Roundup: Turkish Airlines Signs Sponsorship Deal With EPL Aston Villa

Turkish Airlines has agreed to a deal with EPL side Aston Villa. The deal "will help Turkish Airlines promote its direct route between Birmingham and Istanbul, where 10 flights depart from Birmingham International Airport on a weekly basis" (SOCCEREX, 9/6). ... Italian Serie A club AS Roma "has agreed a new partnership with multinational human resource consulting company Adecco, which will become an official supplier" for the '13-14 season (SOCCEREX, 9/6). ... Bundesliga club Werder Bremen has agreed to a new partnership with health insurance company AOK Bremen/Bremerhaven to become its official health partner. The deal provides AOK with promotion and marketing opportunities (Werder Bremen). ... Bundesliga side FC Nuremberg has extended its sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola for another three years. Coca-Cola will continue to provide its products during home games at the Grundig Stadium until '16. The deal was brokered by sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE (FC Nuremberg). ... Second Bundesliga 1860 Munich has signed a new sponsorship deal with telecom company Fonic for the '13-14 season. Fonic, which is a subsidiary of telecom company Telefonica Deutschland, will have a presence at the Allianz Arena and provide 1860 fans with special offers. The deal was brokered by Infront Sports & Media (1860 Munich). ... A sponsorship deal "has been signed between Crown Beverages and the Kenya national team, whilst Meanwood Properties and Zambeef Plc have come in to help pay for TV rights" for Friday's game between Ghana and Zambia. Keringet, a brand of Crown Beverages, the Kenyan subsidiary of South Africa's SAB Miller, "will be the official water sponsor for the Kenyan National team and FKF Go TV Shield, after the company handed over a cheque" for Kshs. 1M ($11,500) (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 9/6).
