Argentine Side Boca Juniors To Facilitate Transfer Of Tickets For Season-Ticket Holders

Argentine first division side Boca Juniors has launched a program called "Abono solidario" ("Season tickets support") so that "there will never be an empty seat at the team's stadium, making it an intimidating atmosphere for opponents," according to OLE. The program "allows season-ticket holders who cannot use their seats for a game to sell the tickets to other fans." It is a "round business for everyone." The program was a proposal during current Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici's electoral campaign, and it will start with the team's next home game, when Boca Juniors hosts Racing on Sept. 15. For that game, season-ticket holders "can hand over tickets until Sept. 12 at 6pm." Fans looking to buy these seats "can do this from Sept. 11 at 9am until the following day at 6pm" (OLE, 9/3).
