National Rugby League Clubs Told To Stay Quiet Before Judicial Matter Finalized

All National Rugby League clubs "have been given an official warning -- comment on matters before the match review committee and be fined," according to Michael Carayannis of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. NRL Head of Football Todd Greenberg "wrote to the 16 clubs on Tuesday to warn them against speaking out before judicial matters are finalised." It follows a A$10,000 ($9,000) infringement notice handed to Sea Eagles coach Geoff Toovey recently, which the club will fight, while North Queensland skipper Johnathan Thurston "was also given a dressing down for comments he made" (SMH, 8/28).
