Event Notes: Belgaum, India To Host Ranji Trophy This Season At Ramthirthanagar

Belgaum, India will host the Ranji Trophy match this season at the newly constructing int'l standard cricket ground at Ramthirthanagar. The ground, which is being constructed by Karnataka State Cricket Association, "commenced its work" in '07 and expected to be completed by the end of October (TNN, 8/21). ... Streetfootballworld and Beyond Sport will bring their global event Beyond Soccer -- previously held in Cape Town and London to Philadelphia in September as part of the Beyond Sports Summit & Awards '13. Beyond Soccer -- powered by streetfootballworld -- is a full-day event focused on the role football can play in driving social change that will be held at PPL Park, home of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union (Beyond Soccer).
