Toro Rosso F1 driver DANIEL RICCIARDO "will replace" Australian countryman MARK WEBBER as teammate of three-time world champion SEBASTIAN VETTEL at Red Bull in '14, according to Garloff & Bach of SPORT BILD. The move is expected to be officially announced at the Belgium F1 Grand Prix weekend in Spa-Francorchamps. Red Bull Motorsports Dir Helmut Marko said, "We won't say anything ahead of Spa. That's all I can say" (SPORT BILD, 8/17). The AFP reported ex-world champion KIMI RÄIKKÖNEN and even Vettel's long-time rival FERNANDO ALONSO "have also been linked to the Red Bull vacancy," with Webber retiring from F1 at the end of the season. Ricciardo, 24, has been sponsored by Red Bull since '08, and he "started driving for Toro Rosso last year, claiming 21 Formula One points from 41 Grand Prix races" (AFP, 8/19).
