Crystal Palace Co-Chair Browett Vows Selhurst Park Name Will Remain

EPL side Crystal Palace co-Chair Stephen Browett "reassured fans that Selhurst Park is not about to be renamed The 12Bet Stadium," according to Simon Johnson of the London EVENING STANDARD. Crystal Palace is "in talks over a sponsorship deal with the online betting company but naming rights is not on the agenda." Fears "were raised among supporters after a picture was put online last week showing a sign outside the ground saying The 12Bet Stadium." Browett said: "Selhurst will still be Selhurst but with a facelift part‑financed by this deal. It will be called Selhurst Park -- there may be a ‘sponsored by 12Bet’ tacked on afterwards. That’s yet to be decided" (EVENING STANDARD, 8/14).
