German publishing company Axel Springer and German pay-TV network Sky Deutschland "seem to have found a solution in their dispute about Bundesliga highlight rights," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. Sky "will reportedly show comprehensive game reports instead of short highlights on its Sky Sport News HD app and therefore comply with the restrictions." The reason for the dispute was the launch of the app, which shows immediately after the conclusion of Bundesliga games short highlights. However, Axel Springer, which owns BILD newspaper, has the rights for those short highlights and will show them via its fee-based "Bundesliga bei Bild" offer an hour after the end of games. To make sure it does not violate any agreements, Sky "will reportedly now show game reports with a minimum length of four minutes instead of 10 to 20-second highlights." The rights package that Springer acquired from the German Football League (DFL) provides it with the right to air game recaps with a length between 90 seconds and six minutes. Sky's rights package provides it with the rights to show game highlights with a length between four and 12 minutes (DWDL, 8/8).
