Event Notes: Eight Countries Preparing Bids To Host 2019 Asian Cup Football Tournament

Eight countries "keep their interest" to host the 2019 Asian Cup football tournament, and "will be invited to attend a workshop on bidding processes." Representatives from Bahrain, China, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the UAE "are invited to attend the workshop" (XINHUA, 8/7). ... Tickets for NBA Global Games 2013 in Beijing and Shanghai featuring the L.A. Lakers and the Golden State Warriors will go on sale at 3pm Thursday. The two teams will play at the MasterCard Center in Beijing on Oct. 15 and "will meet again" at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Oct. 18 (CHINA DAILY, 8/7). ... Dubai will host three of the eight rounds of the 2013 UIM XCAT World Series of power boat racing (GULF NEWS, 8/7).
