Third League Football Side SV Darmstadt Gets New Stadium At Current Location In '15

German 3rd League football club SV Darmstadt "will remain at the Böllenfalltor, its current home ground," according to Frank Leber of LIGA 3 ONLINE. This "is the result of a feasibility study that was presented by Mayor Rafael Reißer." The study "looked at three possible locations for a new stadium." In addition to its current home ground, the study "took a look at areas in the city's south and north." The study calculated that "a move would have significantly higher costs than a new construction at its current site." The proposed new area will have a capacity of 18,000, including 340 suite seats. The new arena will have an estimated price tag of €27.6M ($36.1M). The construction work "is scheduled to start in the summer of '14 and is supposed to be completed by the end of '15" (LIGA 3 ONLINE, 7/17).
