Event Notes: X Games Munich Set Single-Day Attendance Record On Sunday

X Games Munich drew 55,000 attendees on Sunday, the event's fourth and final day, setting a single-day attendance record for an X Games event held outside the U.S. The four-day attendance total was 119,000 (ESPN). ... Real Madrid "has practically finalized its '13 preseason." The club will play three games in Europe, against Ligue 1 sides Lyon, Paris St. Germain "and a club to be decided" and four in the U.S., against Major League Soccer L.A. Galaxy, either Serie A side Juventus or Premier League club Everton, Serie A Inter and another team that will be decided in the Int'l Champions Cup. In the eighth and final game of Real Madrid's preseason schedule, it will take on Qatari side Al-Sadd at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 7/1). ... UEFA has announced that seven countries are in contention to host the '17 edition of the Women's Euro national team tournament. The FA's of Austria, France, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Scotland and Switzerland "have been invited to attend an observer programme at the upcoming Women's Euro 2013 in Sweden" (SOCCEREX, 7/1).
