Confederations Cup Game Between Brazil And Italy Flops On ZDF, Diving Event Worse

German public broadcaster ZDF "has obtained low ratings for its broadcast of the Confederations Cup," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. Saturday's game between Brazil and Italy, which started at 9pm German time, attracted only 2.82 million viewers. The number translated into "a moderate market share" of 11.5%. In the target demographic 14-49, Brazil's 4-2 victory was watched by 800,000 viewers, which translated into a 9.1% market share. Even "worse was ZDF's broadcast of the 2013 European Diving Championships that started at 5:10pm." A total of 880,000 viewers tuned in to watch the event. The number equaled a 9% market share. In the target demographic, the broadcast attracted 160,000 viewers and had a 4.3% share (QUOTENMETER, 6/23).
