The management of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has decided to extended the contract of Managing Dir THOMAS TREß, which is set to expire on June 30, 2014, for another two years until June 30, 2016. Treß will continue to be in charge of the department's finance and organization (Borussia Dortmund). ... EPL Tottenham has appointed former England assistant Manager FRANCO BALDINI as technical director. Baldini, who left his post as Serie A club AS Roma's general director earlier this month, played for Bologna, Bari and Pescara and was former England Manager FABIO CAPELLO's assistant (REUTERS, 6/18). ... Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart has appointed former assistant Board Chair JOACHIM SCHMIDT "as its new board chairman" less then 24 hours after former Board Chair DIETER HUNDT resigned. The 64-year-old "will take over the position with immediate effect until the club's annual general meeting in '14" (DPA, 6/18). ... EPL Newcastle Managing Dir DEREK LLAMBIAS has resigned. Although Llambias made no reference to the appointment of JOE KINNEAR as director of football in his resignation statement, "the two are linked" (TELEGRAPH, 6/19).

COACHES: Spanish second division side Alcorcón JOSÉ BORDALÁS will step down. Alcorcón said the decision was reached in "mutual agreement" (MARCA, 6/19). ... New Serie A Roma Manager RUDI GARCIA was "officially unveiled by the Italian club." Garcia previously coached Ligue 1 Lillie. Garcia: "You can’t say no when Roma call" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 6/19). ... The Belarusian Ice Hockey Association has "reached an agreement over a two-year contract" with coach GLEN HANLON beginning July 1 (XINHUA, 6/19). ... The Korea FA has confirmed CHOI KANG-HEE's exit as coach of the national team, and "begun the search for a replacement to lead the side at the 2014 World Cup." Choi took over in Dec. '11 and said at the time that "his only mission was to get the team to Brazil and that he would step aside after qualification" (REUTERS, 6/19).
