Event Notes: Neymar To Participate In Messi's Charity Friendly On July 2 In Lima, Peru

Lionel Messi and Neymar will lead a Messi and Friends vs. The Rest of the World friendly game between a group of int'l football stars at Lima, Peru's National Stadium on July 2. Neymar has confirmed that he will join the Rest of the World team. It will be the first on-field meeting between the two stars who will soon be Barcelona teammates following Neymar's signing with the La Liga side (EFE, 6/19). ... Federal Territories Chef de Mission for the 2013 Malaysian Sukma Games Datuk Hassim Ismail said that FT has submitted its bid to host the 2018 Sukma Games. As part of efforts to boost the bid, Hassim said that "a number of stadiums and sports complexes" would be built in Putrajaya, Malaysia for training and competition (THE STAR, 6/19).
