Bundesliga VfB Stuttgart announced Monday evening that Board Chair DIETER HUNDT "resigned from his position with immediate effect." The club "has until July 22, the day of its annual general meeting, to present a candidate for Hundt's position" (STUTTGARTER ZEITUNG, 6/17).

COACHES: Spanish second division side UD Las Palmas has renewed coach SERGIO LOBERA's contract for one year (MARCA, 6/18). ... La Liga side Real Valladolid hired former Levante boss JUAN IGNACIO MARTINEZ as coach (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 6/18). ... England U21 coach STUART PEARCE was told "he will not be offered a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of the month" (LONDON TIMES, 6/18). ... ASEAN Basketball League Indonesia Warriors will not renew the conract of head coach TODD PURVES (JAKARTA GLOBE, 6/18). ...
