'Dramatic' Tape Obtained By Scottish Sun Details Sacking Of Rangers Chair

A "dramatic" tape has emerged of Scottish Third Division Rangers Chair Malcolm Murray "being sacked" by former CEO Charles Green’s right-hand man, according to Chris Musson of the SCOTTISH SUN. In the recording, Commercial Dir Imran Ahmad accuses Murray "of improper conduct," and says: "You stab everyone in the back the first time you get a chance, so please don’t say you’re the victim here." The phone call shows how Green and Ahmad "told Murray to leave almost three months ago." But the pair -- now exiled from their top jobs -- "granted him a stay of execution and told him to go quietly at the end of the season, to avoid worrying investors" (SCOTTISH SUN, 5/18).
