Former Stars Of Spanish Football To Raise Money For Children's Charity

Former Real Madrid and Juventus football players will play in the Heart Classic Match at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on June 9, according to MARCA. The purpose of the game is to raise funds for the Solidarity With Children campaign of the Spanish Red Cross. Several big names have already signed up, including Luis Figo, Pavel Nedved, Zinedine Zidane, Alfonzo Pérez, Fernando Hierro, Emilio Butragueño, Fernando Morientes and Francisco Buyo. Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez declared that the game represents "a new date with history and legend, a game that will not decide a championship but will be exciting for all that it symbolizes" (MARCA, 4/18).
