Liverpool To Visit Australia, Thailand As Part Of Summer Preseason Tour

Liverpool "will play in Australia for the first time" as part of its preseason tour this summer, according to Paul Collins of the London DAILY MAIL. The Reds will take on A-League team Melbourne Victory on July 24 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Liverpool Managing Dir Ian Ayre said: "We know we have a large fan base in Australia and New Zealand and this visit shows our commitment to bringing the club closer to our fans all over the globe." The team "will also visit Thailand" as part of its preseason tour (DAILY MAIL, 4/2). In Melbourne, David Davutovic reported Liverpool "arrives just four days after Manchester United plays an A-League All-Star side at Sydney's ANZ Stadium." And the MCG "will cater for Reds fans with the City end set to be renamed The Kop End while the Punt Road end will cater for Victory's active supporters" (HERALD SUN, 4/3).
