National Rugby League Cronulla Sharks Chair DAMIAN IRVINE has resigned from his post. Board member GLENN COLEMAN will replace him (Cronulla). ... Spanish Football League (LFP) President JOSE LUIS ASTIAZARAN has confirmed he will not stand for re-election to his post in the forthcoming vote on April 27 (XINHUA, 3/12). ... Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket appointed RALPH WALTERS as chairman of the organizing committee for the 2015 World Cup after the death of JAMES STRONG. Waters, "a prominent New Zealand businessman," was previously deputy chairman and replaces Strong, who died last week in Sydney aged 68 from complications following surgery (AFP, 3/13).
