BBC's Oscar Pistorius Documentary Draws More Than 1 Million Viewers

BBC3's fast-turnaround documentary about Oscar Pistorius "was watched by more than a million viewers, giving it a peaktime win over Channel 5," according to John Plunkett of the London GUARDIAN. "Oscar Pistorius - What Really Happened?" pulled in 1.08 million viewers, a 4.3% share of the audience between 9pm and 10pm local time on Monday. It was ahead of Channel 5's "Robson's Extreme Fishing Challenge," with Robson Green (GUARDIAN, 3/12). In L.A., Stuart Kemp wrote the film "has been condemned in certain media quarters" for being too rushed as well as misleading amid uncertainty over what really happened on the night Pistorius shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 3/12).
