PRINCE HARRY has been named as "the patron for the All Schools scheme," whose aim is to get 400 more U.K. schools playing rugby by '15 and 750 more playing by '19. Clusters of three or four schools "will be targeted and provided with kit, equipment and resources" by the Rugby Football Union as well as being "linked with a local club, which will also provide coaching and ongoing support" (GUARDIAN, 3/8). ... Australia Paralympics Committee's Sport Operations Senior Manager KATE MCLOUGHLIN has become the first female Australian to be the chef de mission for the Australian Paralympic team at the Sochi Winter Olympics (APC). ... Olympic Bronze Medal boxer VIJENDER SINGH's roommate and sparring partner RAM SINGH was "expelled from the National Institute of Sports on Sunday after admitting that he consumed drugs with the star boxer" (PTI, 3/10). ...
