Event Notes: Beijing Ducks To Play Out Season In MasterCard Center

The Chinese Basketball Association defending champions Beijing Ducks will play the remainder of their home games at the 18,000-seat MasterCard Center (formerly known as Wukesong Arena) after the move was "officially approved last week by the Beijing City Sports Bureau" (NIUBBALL, 2/8). ... Musician Proj3kt, the British Basketball League Foundation and Sport England's youth basketball project have launched regional tournaments to be held in the five participating BBL club's local areas. The tournaments are being run by Cheshire Phoenix, Newcastle Eagles, Surrey Heat and Worcester Wolves during February and early March (BBL). ... The "decks were finally cleared" for the Rajasthan Cricket Association to host the home matches of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League after it decided to "sign a Memorandum of Understanding" with the state government regarding the use of Sawai Man Singh Stadium (PTI, 2/10).
