Austrian Bundesliga Club Rapid Vienna Lost $4.4M During '11-12 Fiscal Year

Austrian Bundesliga club Rapid Vienna, which failed to qualify for the Europa League last season, lost almost €3.3M ($4.4M) during the '11-12 fiscal year, according to Alexander Huber of the KURIER. The club's numbers "were published by the Austrian association for the protection of creditors, Kreditschutzverband KSV 1870, which annually publishes the business reports of all tipp3-Bundesliga and Erste Liga football clubs." Red Bull Salzburg tops the list in two categories. The club generated the biggest revenue at €54.5M ($72.5M) and had the highest payroll at €35M ($46.6M) (KURIER, 1/21).
