Rafael Nadal Expected To Return From Knee Injury In February's Brazil Open

Marketing agency Koch Tavares revealed Rafael Nadal will play in February's Brazil Open, according to MAQUINA DO ESPORTE. The agreement with Nadal was reached "without the participation of Brazil Open sponsors." The tournament in São Paulo will be the Spanish player's first time back on the court after "almost six months off due to an injury." The prices for tickets to the event "are not expected to suffer a big adjustment." Last year's tournament final had tickets ranging in price from R$35 ($17) to R$100 ($49) (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 1/15). ESPN BRASIL reported the tournament will now have four top 20 players. Nadal will be joined by fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, Argentinian Juan Monaco and Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka (ESPN BRASIL, 1/15).
