Event Notes: Chinese Students Run To Support China In Diaoyu Islands Dispute

A nationwide winter running event for Chinese students has been launched in Beijing, "in which participants will run the distance between Chinese islets or cities and the Diaoyu Islands." The students' total distances will respectively reach the distance from Taiwan's Pengjia Islet to the Diaoyu Islands (140km), Keelung city, Taiwan, to the Diaoyu Islands (190km), and Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province to the Diaoyu Islands (350km) (XINHUA, 12/8). ... The Angkor Cup of Climbing will return to Siem Reap, Cambodia for its second edition on Dec. 16. The annual wall climbing competition is organized by Angkor Climbers Net, a Japanese organization that "aims to promote sport climbing in the Kingdom" and is supported by the Cambodia Climbing Federation (PHNOM PENH POST, 12/7). ... The first edition of the men's European Handball Federation Cup Final Tournament will be played in Nantes, France (EHF).
