BILL PETERSON has been named Commissioner of the North American Soccer League. Peterson succeeds DAVID DOWNS, who was NASL Commissioner from April '11 until he retired last month (SportsBusiness Daily, 11/27). ... Premiership club Gloucester Rugby has revealed that STEPHEN VAUGHAN has agreed to join the club as its new managing director. Vaughn was the managing director of travel and event firm Thomas Cook London 2012, where he led Thomas Cook's involvement with London 2012 (Gloucester Rugby).
