Event Notes: China, Colombia Cities Will Host '15 IAAF Championships

The Int'l Association of Athletics Federations has confirmed Guiyang, China as host of the 2015 IAAF World Cross Country Championships and Cali, Colombia as host of the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships. The two cities were sole bidders. Competition dates have not yet been officially announced (IAAF). ... The KB Pro-Am Basketball Championship will debut Wednesday with 10 Korean Basketball League teams taking on seven college squads. The winner will claim "bragging rights as the country's best team." The event was created by the KBL to "maintain fan interest during its midseason break, while providing playing time to more of the professionals and valuable experience to the college players" (KOREA JOONGANG DAILY, 11/27).
