Náutico Wants Friendly International Tournament To Inaugurate New Stadium

Brasileiro club Náutico is "planning to host a friendly tournament in '13" to inaugurate its Arena Pernambuco, according to Rodolfo Gomes of MAQUINA DO ESPORTE. The club will play in its new stadium for at least the next 30 years and wants to inaugurate it with a friendly tournament featuring int'l competition. The "initial idea" is to promote a mini tournament with traditional clubs "that share red as their main color." Argeninian club River Plate and Spanish clubs Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao have "already been contacted." The "big difficulty" for the marketing team of the club will be to find a time where all teams can take part. The stadium "is only scheduled to be finished in April" (MAQUINA DO ESPORTE, 11/20).
