Facilities Notes: UAE Olympic Committee Opens Dubai Offices

The new offices of the UAE NOC have been completed in Al Nahda 1 in Dubai. The Dh16.5M ($4.5M) building will accommodate 21 sports associations, all working to develop sport and sporting facilities in Dubai and across the UAE. Dubai considered bidding to host the 2020 Olympic Games, but announced last year it would pursue a bid in 2024 instead (THE NATIONAL, 11/6). ... The $100M Royal Isabela golf community in Puerto Rico has officially opened. Architect David Pfaff designed the course; the community also includes a clubhouse, 20 luxury casitas, a restaurant and tennis courts. There are also 28 home sites and space for up to 50 fairway villas on the property (GOLF COURSE ARCHTECTURE, 10/30).
