Palestinian PM Reveals Qatari Emir's Plans To Bring Barcelona To Gaza

Palestinian PM Ismail Haneyya revealed that Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Jalifa al Zanim is working on bringing FC Barcelona to Gaza for a visit, according to the EFE. Haneyya made the announcement at an event for athletes in Gaza and said that Zanim "promised to make the necessary preparations and contacts needed to get Barça to Gaza." The Emir of Qatar founded the Qatar Foundation in '95, which has sponsored Barcelona since '10. The Catalan side receives between €29-€33M ($37.6M-$42.8M) annually through '16 with the deal (EFE, 10/29).
