The 55-year-old was put forward by the committee of the FA Board, the Professional Game Board, to replace DAVE RICHARDS in the role (FA). ... Sports public relations agency Mace appointed ALAN WILLBY as director for world sports events and major programs. Willby joins Mace from Langdon and Aecom, where he served as global head of sports for program cost consultancy (Mace). ... Scottish Third Division club Rangers has announced two new appointments on the club's board of directors. Non-Exec Dir IMRAN AHMAD has been named as commercial director, with responsibility for developing new business and investment opportunities, and CRAIG MATHER has been appointed as director of sports development (HERALD SCOTLAND, 10/17). ... PR agency Shine Communications "has poached" Reebok's EMEA PR Dir RICHARD GLENNIE as it looks to expand its sports lifestyle business. Glennie will join the company at director level. He will relocate from Amsterdam to London (PRWEEK.com, 10/18). Senegal Football Federation VP LOUIS LAMOTTE has resigned following the riots that occured in the Senegal vs. Ivory Coast African Cup of Nations qualifier (XINHUA, 10/18).
