Sale Sharks Boss Reveals Club Is Looking To 'Ease The Traffic Congestion' On Gameday

Aviva Premiership Sale Sharks Rugby Exec Dir Steve Diamond revealed that the club is doing everything it can to "try to ease the traffic congestion," which marred the Sharks’ opening Premiership game at their new Barton ground against Saracens, according to Neil Leigh of the MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS. Fans have "instantly taken" to the 21st-century facilities at the club’s new £26M ($42.1M) Salford City Stadium, but the transportation to and from the ground has "caused major headaches for some." Diamond said, "What we mustn’t lose sight of is that, in years gone by, the complaints were about the poor facilities at Edgeley Park, such as toilets, food and drink stands and what have you. Now for our supporters, transport is the one major bug bear and...we will continue to work hard on this issue" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 9/20),
