FIFA’s Match Goes To Market With Confederations Cup VIP Packages

VIP packages for the 2013 Confederations Cup "are already on sale," according to PORTAL2014.gov.br. FIFA's hospitality rights holder MATCH Hospitality is responsible for the sale of the different packages, "which are available to companies, families and individuals." The packages range in price from R$1500-535,000 ($740-264,302). The cities of Recife and Salvador are included as possible selections, "suggesting that the cities are confirmed as hosts for the Confederations Cup." The other cities that will host games are: Brasilia, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro. Brazil, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Uruguay and Taiti have all guaranteed themselves a spot in the tournament. The only missing team is the one that will represent the African continent, which will be known in January. The competition will take place from June 15-30 (PORTAL2014.gov.br, 9/18).
