Notes: Corinthians Needing One More Home Match To Set Ticket Revenue Record

Brasileiro club Corinthians generated R$551,184 ($271,854) in ticket revenue from Wednesday nights home game against Ponte Preta, meaning that they will need another home game to break the league record of R$31.6M they set in '10 (IG.com.br, 9/12). ... The Barcelona vs. Real Madrid week 7 La Liga match will be played on Oct. 7 at the Camp Nou stadium at 7:50pm local time (MARCA, 9/12). ... Armenia has filed a protest with FIFA about "poor officiating" during this week's 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat in Bulgaria. The Armenians complained about "decisions made by the referee and the treatment they had received from the home team" (REUTERS, 9/13). ...Travel agency Kuoni has been named the official accommodation agency of Euro 2016. Kuoni will provide accommodation services to the participating teams, match officials, commercial and broadcast partners, media, suppliers and staff involved in the organization of the event (UEFA).
