BSkyB Partners With James Cameron To Offer 3D Coverage Of Ryder Cup

BSkyB has partnered with James Cameron's 3D production firm Cameron Pace Group to "offer live 3D coverage" of the Ryder Cup on the Sky 3D channel later this month, according to Georg Szalai of the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The golf competition begins on Sept. 28 at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. BSkyB revealed that the Sky 3D channel will broadcast more than 30 hours of live coverage "two years after the first 3D Ryder Cup broadcast on Sky." Cameron Pace Co-Chair and Director of Titanic and Avatar James Cameron said, "We’re looking forward to working in partnership with Sky to deliver truly outstanding 3D coverage of the Ryder Cup." BSkyB launched Sky 3D two years ago" as what it says has been Europe’s only dedicated 3D channel" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 9/9).
