Media Notes: Tennis Podcast Booms In The U.K.

The Tennis Podcast, a new free, downloadable tennis radio show, has broken into the top 20 of all sports podcasts in the U.K. just three months after it launched. The podcast, which is produced by LawSports and presented by BBC Radio 5 Live commentator David Law and Catherine Whitaker, features in-depth interviews with tennis players, former champions, administrators and journalists. In the coming weeks, the Tennis Podcast will feature exclusive, in-depth interviews with John McEnroe, Björn Borg and Mats Wilander (LawSports). ... New Zealand Cricket agreed to a two-year deal with Sky TV for the broadcasting of all home domestic and int'l cricket matches. The new agreement runs through March '14 and will include tours by England, the West Indies and India. Part of the new commitment from Sky TV is to broadcast a number of domestic HRV Cup matches in the highly-rated Friday nighttime slot (New Zealand Cricket).
