WTA Unveils New "Strong Is Beautiful" Celebrity Campaign

The WTA unveiled a new "Strong Is Beautiful" celebrity campaign, featuring celebrities from the field of entertainment, music, business, film and sport offering their personal time to speak about their love of women's tennis and its stars. The first phase of the campaign features The Queen of Soul, Grammy Award winner Aretha Franklin; actress Susan Sarandon; Richard Branson; Donald Trump; actor Stanley Tucci; host of "American Idol" Randy Jackson; singer Kelly Rowland; producer Timbaland; golfer Rory McIlroy; entertainer Nadine Coyle; actress Bridget Moynahan; singer Ciara; DJ Bob Sinclar, and Tony award nominated Constantine Maroulis. The new campaign is an extension of the WTA's current "Strong Is Beautiful" global advertising campaign, launched in '11, and focuses on each celebrity's personal achievements and past experiences. The "Strong Is Beautiful" celebrity campaign is comprised of print and video elements and began to run globally Tuesday, culminating with the season-ending TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships in Istanbul on Oct. 23-28. L.A.-based production house Reel Sessions produced the new celebrity campaign (WTA).
