Stricken rugby club Bradford Bulls' players have "now been paid this month’s wages," according to THE ADVERTISER. Bradford's players were scheduled to be paid Tuesday, but club administrators P&A Partnership sent an email to a Bulls employee Monday night "containing the message that the players would not be paid on time." It was confirmed Tuesday that "they have now been paid" (THE ADVERTISER, 8/14). The YORKSHIRE POST reported that both of Bradford's football clubs have "expressed interest" in buying the Bulls. Bradford City has placed their offer for Bradford Bulls earlier last week, while semi-pro Bradford Park Avenue owners have "also entered the bidding" (YORKSHIRE POST, 8/13). The PA reported that the professional players association, 1eague3, are unhappy with the lack of communication between Bradford Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle and the Bulls squad. 1eague3 Chair Ernie Benbow is "particularly upset" about the fact the players found out about a non-payment issue late Monday instead of being told "some time ago" (PA, 8/14).
