Rams Withdraw From 2013 And 2014 London Regular-Season Games

The NFL St. Louis Rams have "withdrawn from a commitment" to play NFL games in London in '13 and '14, according to Erik Matuszewski of BLOOMBERG. The Rams will still be playing one of their eight regular-season home games in London on Oct. 28 against the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium. The Rams said that they pulled out of the games to "focus on making upgrades to their stadium," the Edward Jones Dome. If the team and the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission fail to meet the NFL's requirements for a "first tier" stadium, the Rams could pull out of their lease and leave St. Louis after the '14 season. The NFL has not said whether another team would replace the Rams in its London games in '13 and '14 (BLOOMBERG, 8/14).
