Bundesliga Club Fortuna Dusseldorf Agrees To Three-Year Deal With Hitachi

Electronics company Hitachi has become an exclusive premium partner of Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf. As a premium partner, Hitachi is at the second-highest level of sponsorship at Fortuna Dusseldorf . The three-year deal, which was brokered by Infront Sports & Media, provides advertising space in the ESPRIT arena, including rotating and static boards in camera view. In addition, the company will receive promotional opportunities around the team together with a comprehensive ticket and hospitality contingent. Hitachi Europe Managing Dir Akira Shimizu said, "The club is making a worthy return to the Bundesliga this season, and we have high expectations that it will breathe new life into Germany's national sport" (Infront Sports & Media). The Cologne EXPRESS reported that the deal is worth €1.5M ($1.8M) over three years (EXPRESS, 8/10).

FRANKFURT CALLING: German 2nd Bundesliga club FSV Frankfurt agreed to a new title sponsorship deal with online cell phone retailer Sparhandy.de. The company's logo and name will be featured on the first and second team jerseys. In addition, the new sponsorship deal, which runs until the end of '13-14 season, includes advertisement space on boards in camera view and cam carpets behind the goal lines as well as various other incentives (FSV Frankfurt).

DRIVE ON: German 2nd Bundesliga club FC Cologne and automaker Ford agreed to extend their 18-year-long premium partnership for the '12-13 season. The partnership, which started in '94, provides players, coaches and management with Ford vehicles. In return, Ford receives advertisement space on boards in camera view (Ford).
