PSG Agrees To Highest Transfer Fee In Brazilian Football History To Bring Moura To Paris

Ligue 1 club Paris St. Germain "made official on Wednesday" the signing of Brazilian Lucas Moura, according to Nicolas Cerbelle of LE FIGARO. The transfer sum that was agreed on with São Paolo FC "is in the neighborhood" of €40M ($49.2M). In this period of financial crisis, ManU and Inter Milan "had to renounce to the idea" of recruiting the 19-year-old Moura, but PSG does not have the same economic constraints. The club agreed to a contract that will see the player in Paris from Jan '13 to June '17. The sum of Moura's transfer "is the highest in the history of Brazilian football" (LEFIGARO, 8/8). UOL.com.br's Perrone reported that Moura will make "close to" €5M ($6.2M) annually at PSG. That means he will be earning eight times more than what he was currently making at São Paolo (UOL.com.br, 8/9).
