Arsenal FC CEO IVAN GAZIDIS has been appointed to the English FA's Professional Game Board and the FA Council. Gazidis "was one of four appointments" made by the EPL to the PGB and will sit alongside Tottenham's Dir of Football Administration DARREN EALES, ManU CEO DAVID GILL and EPL Chair DAVE RICHARDS (REUTERS, 8/5).

NBA Houston Rockets player JEREMY LIN "was mobbed by fans in Taiwan" Saturday during his first visit to the island since a hot streak earned him a global following known as "Linsanity."
