Chinese Super League Shanghai Shenhua's "eccentric owner" ZHU JUN is set to appear on the pitch in Wednesday's friendly against ManU at Shanghai Stadium. A report in the Oriental Sports Daily revealed the 45-year-old will "line-up upfront alongside" DIDIER DROGBA and NICOLAS ANELKA to form a "somewhat unconventional strike force" to face a defense that features former England center-half RIO FERDINAND (WILDEASTFOOTBALL.net, 7/24). ... LOCOG Chair SEBASTIAN COE "paid tribute to two prominent sports journalists" JOHN RODDA and STEVE PARRY for their contribution to the Olympic Movement. Rodda passed away in '09 after working for the Guardian for more than 50 years and serving on the IOC Press Commission. Parry was a sports editor for Reuters and worked as a media adviser to London's bid to host the London Games before passing in '08 (GULF NEWS, 7/24).
