Online video specialists Rightster agreed to a deal with sports rights holders MP & Silva to "distribute its raft of sports content" which includes EPL and FA Cup football, tennis, basketball and motor racing. With the deal, Rightster will also launch a range of YouTube channels featuring MP & Silva's sports content, along with wider distribution "via its existing network of newspaper publishers such as Mail Online" (BROADCASTNOW.co.uk, 7/18).
TENNIS DEAL: French broadcaster Canal + has won the TV rights to all the Masters 1000 and ATP 500 series tournaments until the end of '13. The deal will give them the right to 20 events (LE PARISIEN, 7/17).
