Oops! Novak Djokovic's Name Is Misspelled On U.S. Open Trophy

NOVAK DJOKOVIC's name is "wrongly engraved" on the U.S. Open trophy, according to Alexandre Cossenza of GLOBO ESPORTE. The current world No. 2 has the end of his name spelled with a "C" but the trophy used a "K." Cossenza was at the International Tennis Hall of Fame museum gallery to interview GUSTAVO KUERTEN who had just been inducted when he noticed the mistake. He wrote that there was a "small space" between the case with the trophy and the wall, just enough for him to stretch his arm "all the way to the back of the trophy" with his camera and film the closeup of the trophy revealing the wrong engraving (GLOBOESPORTE, 7/17).
