The Int'l Rugby Board appointed former World Cup Sevens captain CHERYL SOON to the IRB Rugby Committee. The committee recommends policy on critical areas of playing the Games, such as player welfare, the laws, playing trends and coaching techniques. Australian Rugby Union Managing Dir and CEO JOHN O'NEILL was elected recently to the role of IRB Regulations Committee Chair (ARU). ... The European Hockey Federation named Irish Hockey Association CEO ANGUS KIRKLAND Dir General. Angus will take up the position in October in Brussels. He will replace R. DAVID BALBIRNIE who plans to step down at the end of the year (EHF).
