Australian Rugby Team Partners With Hong Kong Rugby Union

A new agreement between Australian Waratahs Rugby and the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union will see both parties benefit from a long-term joint venture. The agreement was made possible by the involvement of British financial service company HSBC, a major partner to both organisations, and is aimed at helping Hong Kong RFU develop its rugby operations as well as further strengthen the Waratahs Rugby brand in Asia. Waratahs Rugby CEO Jason Allen said, "There are great synergies between our businesses, and we are delighted to be able to formalise our arrangement." Last month, three of Hong Kong's potential future rugby stars spent the week in Sydney on the first leg of a three-part initiative between the two parties. Cado Lee (20), Kenneth Wong Kit-leung (19) and Terry Tsang Kai-cheuk (20) spent a week with the HSBC Waratahs in the Super Rugby training environment (HSBC Waratahs).
