Euro 2012 Attendance Tops 1 Million Mark Through Quarterfinal Play

Close to 1.3 million people attended the first 28 matches of Euro 2012 in Poland and the Ukraine, according to figures released by UEFA Wednesday. The average attendance was 45,435 per game, with 98.6% of seats filled. The group stage match between Sweden and England on June 15 in Kyiv, Ukraine had the highest attendance with 64,640 people. The largest crowd for a match in Poland was 56,070 when Poland faced Greece June 8 in Warsaw. (UEFA).
