Finals For Spain's Top Basketball League Drew Best TV Ratings In 15 Years

The playoff finals of the Liga ACB, Spain's top-flight basketball league, received its highest TV ratings in 15 years, according to ACB.com. The five-game series, in which Barcelona defeated Real Madrid, had an "average audience of 1.7 million" per game. The decisive fifth game had an average viewership of 1.8 million people and a share of 18.6%. During its peak audience time (8:48pm), the game was watched by 2.72 million,  or a share of 27.9%. During the broadcast, "at least 5.09 million people" tuned in. The first game of the series aired on Teledeporte and the final four games were on La1 (ACB.com, 6/18).

EURO RATINGS: The EFE reported that Telecinco's coverage of the Spain-Croatia Euro 2012 match was watched by 14.27 million people and a share of 70.4% (EFE, 6/19). FRANCE SOIR reported that the same clash was watched by 6.05 million people and a share of 23% for TF1, which broadcasted the game (FRANCE SOIR, 6/19).
