"I'm With Oakley" Tees Hit The Market; Former Knick Banned From MSG

Fresh Brewed Tees has "started producing 'I'm With Oakley' T-shirts" in reference to the controversy surrounding former NBAer Charles Oakley and the Knicks. Noted Knicks fan Spike Lee "may don" the shirt today for Spurs-Knicks, which tips off at 3:30pm ET on ABC. Fresh Brewed Tees is co-owned by former Knick Chris Smith and NBA player agent Daniel Hazan, who said that one thousand T-shirts have been sold "since going on sale late Friday" (N.Y. POST, 2/12).

Knicks Owner James Dolan on Friday said that Oakley would "not be let into" MSG as a "result of an altercation on Wednesday night that ended with Oakley being led from the arena in handcuffs while fans chanted his name." Dolan, appearing on ESPN Radio N.Y.'s "The Michael Kay Show," said that he was "taking the step to bar Oakley out of concern for the safety of the team’s other paying customers." Dolan said that if Oakley were to "address his behavioral issues," the Knicks would "most likely welcome him back" (N.Y. TIMES, 2/11).
