Jaguars Beat Colts Before Sellout Crowd At Wembley Stadium

The Jaguars beat the Colts 30-27 this morning before a "sellout crowd at 84,000-seat Wembley Stadium" in London. The pregame entertainment was "headlined by Robin Thicke" performing his song "Blurred Lines." But much of the crowd "had a tough time" seeing the show, as "field-level fireworks filled the stadium" with smoke. Meanwhile, Colts CB Antonio Cromartie "took a knee and raised a fist" during the National Anthem (AP, 10/2).

The NFL yesterday hosted a fan event on London's Regent Street, and thousands "crammed near the stage to welcome the Colts." Among the Colts to attend the event were QB Andrew Luck, DE Robert Mathis, coach Chuck Pagano, Owner Jim Irsay and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Colts P Pat McAfee "stole the show," as he "drew the biggest laughs and had the fans chanting his name by the time he left the stage." Irsay on Friday hosted an event for Colts staff at Kensington Palace (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 10/2).

NFL Senior VP/Int'l Mark Waller said that the league will "continue to add games in London in the coming years ... and wants to get more teams to play there that haven't previously been before." Waller said that it is "possible a team could play twice abroad in the same season" (CBSSPORTS.com, 10/2).
